Radiolarian shells, generated and printed in clear resin. Spines, lattice and inner shell all come from one distance field, so each print is a single surface with the same fillet radius at every joint.

A radiolarian shell printed in clear resin, standing on succulents: a ball of irregular open cells with long spines all round it, and the perforated plates of an inner shell showing through at the centre. Behind it, rust and moss-green ground cover runs out of focus.
All four prints together on a concrete ledge in dappled shade: a large pear-shaped shell with spines round its base, the spiny open form behind it, a small dense ball, and a sphere set with broad thorns.
